Tony and Diane Wiggins

Tony Wiggins has been an active member of the club since 2020, bringing decades of life experience and a deep passion for Corvettes. As a teenager, he started working as a “box boy” at a local grocery store, a job he would eventually return to after serving his country.
In 1959, Tony volunteered for the draft and completed Basic Training at Fort Ord, California. He was later transferred to Fort Bragg, North Carolina, for jump school and, in 1962, left for Rigger School at Fort Lee, Virginia, where he specialized in supporting airborne operations—packing and repairing parachutes, prepping equipment, and readying gear for heavy drops. He received an Honorable Discharge as a Specialist 4th Class in February 1962.
When he returned from service, the grocery store chain he had worked for had been sold to Von’s, but his position was kept open for him. Tony stayed with the company for 25 years, ultimately retiring as a Store Director.
Tony and his wife, Diane, have been married for 60 years, a testament to their lifelong commitment and partnership. They moved from Oregon to Nashport, Ohio, in 2019 to be closer to their daughter, embracing a new chapter of family life in the Buckeye State.
Throughout his life, Tony and Diane have enjoyed a long‑standing love affair with Corvettes. Their first was a 1960 C1 fuel‑injected coupe (originally white, later repainted blue); their second, a 1967 big‑block C2 coupe they spent four years restoring, including having it repainted in the factory‑correct Goodwood Green Metallic. Over the years, their collection grew to include a 1986 black coupe, a 2001 C5 coupe in pewter, a 2005 C6 in silver, a 2014 C7 in Cyber Grey Metallic, and now their 2019 Silver C7 Grand Sport—each one a chapter in their personal Corvette story.
