Roger Miller and Cindy Gerhan

Roger’s passion for cars began early, buying a brand-new 1957 Chevy Convertible while still in high school. At age 21, he purchased his first Corvette—a 1963 fuel-injected convertible. In 1966, Roger helped organize Konner’s Corvette Club, and the following year, he caravanned with 37 Corvettes to the Indianapolis 500.

His second Corvette, a 1967 model, was followed a decade later by a 1974 Coupe, purchased in 1977 after focusing on family life. In 2011, Roger added two more Corvettes to his collection, including a Grand Sport. A lifelong admirer of mid-engine performance cars inspired by the Can-Am racing era (Chaparrals, McLarens, and others), Roger finally realized that dream with the delivery of his 2023 mid-engine Corvette—an experience he and Cindy shared at the National Corvette Museum.

Roger and Cindy, who found each other later in life, share a deep appreciation for Corvettes and for the people who love them. They’ve attended major events such as Carlisle (three of the past four years), Bloomington Gold, the Corvette America Show in Clarkston, MI, the Gilmore Museum Corvette Show, Hendrick Motorsports and Corvette Show, and Corvettes in the Smokies. They also enjoy local shows, train rides, caravans, air shows, and proudly represent Street Elite in the Powell Memorial Day and Hilliard Veterans Day parades.

All of Roger’s Corvettes have been red—a fitting color for a proud U.S. Marine and retired Columbus Police officer. Now an octogenarian, Roger and Cindy continue to be grateful for every day and truly love to “live the dream.”
