We started our Corvette adventure about 10 years ago when we bought a 1999 C5 with nearly 200,000 miles. I spent the next several years restoring it, and we absolutely loved taking it out for weekend drives—top down, meeting new people who share the same passion.

I’ve always been a “car guy” at heart and have restored several vehicles over the years, including a 1970½ split-bumper Camaro. Most recently, we purchased a 1974 VW Super Beetle convertible, which I’m currently restoring for my wife.

We’re both retired and fortunate to have been able to do so in our mid-50s. My wife spent 25 years as a Child Care Center Director, and I retired in 2022 after a 40-year career with Elford Inc, one of the largest privately owned construction firms in Central Ohio, where I served as Senior Vice President and Corporate Secretary.

These days, we enjoy putting the top down and cruising the back roads of Licking County, as well as attending car shows. Our current Corvette is a 70th Anniversary C8—an LT3 HTC with the Z51 package in Accelerate Yellow—and we absolutely love it.
